Knock down or wake up when Bangkok dries up for two Buddhist holidays

A two-day alcohol ban will be in effect tomorrow and Thursday across the country for two religious holidays.

All entertainment venues and retailers are prohibited from selling alcohol because the kingdom celebrates Asan Bucha and Khao Vansa, or Buddhist Lent.

The ban will be imposed when the clock strikes midnight tonight until midnight on Thursday evening.

Those stocking up on their repairs in the Rajamangala Stadium area are advised to stay off the roads as the highly anticipated football match between two major English teams will start this evening and is likely to cause heavy traffic with heavy congestion.
